Why no love for one Vision Ward in starting items? It’s really helps your jungler to gank and can prevent from zoning you out of bushes with wards. I like this option with sustain supports, because you’re getting only 1 red potion, but still i think that early vision ward is almost obligatory.
I usually take more points in Utility, getting the extra gp5/starting gold, get some extra flat AP on quints instead of gold and play a really agressive Soraka/Sona/Janna, since they scale with AP really lovely in the start.
A nice guide, though, a positive thing about being support.. Noone else wants to, so you’ll always get to do it :)
Most of the time me and many other support players pick armor yellows. They are usually enough to stay in lane if one conserves his mana a bit. But otherwise good guide :) Maybe you should also tell about warding the side brushes but if you think its to advanced ignore my comment ^-^
